Emilie Mover，出生于加拿大蒙特利尔。她在多伦多长大，并有段时间在纽约城她开始和她的萨克斯演奏者父亲Bob Mover一起唱爵士。在这之后她又搬回了多伦多，开始学习吉他和写歌。在20岁的时候，她在多伦多的Tranzac俱乐部向观众表演并由此成为俱乐部常客，并有幸为Richie Havens在Hugh's Room的表演作开场。2008年她出版了她的首张个人专辑《Good Shake , Nice Gloves》
