这首脍炙人口的乡村歌曲最早出自1967年蒙特利尔国际流行音乐节（Monterey International Pop Festival），由scott mckenzie与其挚友John Phillips合作完成。后来被当做《阿甘正传》的插曲而被广为传唱。
