英国著名创作歌手Sarah Joyce，出于对作家Rumer Godden的致敬，起了艺名Rumer。她出生于巴基斯坦，在澳大利亚长大，声音温婉缓慢，歌中弥漫着甜美慵懒的气息。
Rumer曾做过清洁工、广告销售和教师；一直等待着适合自己的制作人。最终，她遇见了Steve Brown，于2010年完成了处女作《Season of My Soul》。
