Nat King Cole（纳京高）的嗓音醇厚自然，兼具爵士乐的随性神采与节奏蓝调的专注深情。
纳京高是村上春树最喜欢的爵士艺人。他在《爵士印象》一书中略带调侃地写道：“提起Nat King Cole，我首先听的是《假装》（pretend）,《太过年轻》（too young）等甜美浪漫的走红歌曲。歌曲从晶体管收音机里流淌出来。时值一九六零年前后。当时，科尔的本职工作爵士钢琴弹奏几乎处于休眠状态，他以无不得意的黄金歌喉在大乐队或者弦乐器的伴奏下为唱片公司接二连三地录制歌曲。只要由Nat King Cole演唱，无论什么样的歌曲都神奇地变得甜美悠扬，沁人心脾，甚至《曼声的玫瑰》那样的歌都不例外。”
